The NEO-M9N is u-blox's 9th generation GNSS receiver chip, supporting GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou concurrently with up to 25Hz navigation update rate. Housed in a compact 4.5×4.5mm LCC package, it represents a significant upgrade from the M8 generation with higher sensitivity, faster acquisition, and multi-band readiness.
The M9N is the recommended GNSS chip for new ArduPilot and PX4 autopilot designs, offering improved position accuracy and reliability compared to the NEO-M8N, particularly in urban or partially obstructed environments.
Upgrade vs NEO-M8N
- 4 simultaneous GNSS constellations (M8N supports 3)
- 25Hz update rate vs 10Hz on M8N
- Better anti-jamming: advanced OSCO oscillator
- Smaller form factor: 4.5×4.5mm vs 12.2×16.0mm module
